Job Summary

To primarily promote the hotel and where possible. This position is accountable for booking individual and/or group business on an established base of the top producing key accounts and for managing / converting high potential key prospects.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Maintains high visibility in the surrounding community and in the hospitality community as appropriate.
  • Supports Sales Manager (Corporate Account) by creating pricing specials to encourage new client growth.
  • Follows up with each client to ensure a good experience was had.
  • Uses viral marketing techniques to drive new business. This is by utilizing the emails captured through the hotel's website and using social networking sites to gather new clients.
  • Demonstrates a sense of team work to help maintain the hotel's high level of service.
  • Meets all deadlines and room night targets.
  • Anticipates market demand factors with sales territories to capture best possible group and long-term business.
  • Has a sales-minded approach toward all job functions and duties.
  • Takes necessary tactical and strategic actions to achieve desired sales results.
  • Sells within agreed group selective sell guidelines and adhere to group room maximum commitment levels.
  • Implements account management program that directs daily sales activity toward productive / profitable segments and accounts.
  • Generates weekend and downtime group revenue.
  • Works in an integrated team manner with all departments.
  • Understands the total Hotel's annual financial outlook 
  • Any other job/tasks are required by Sales Manager (Corporate Account)
  • Work overtime for special events which will be compensated within one month.
  • All employee are required to comply with every reasonable request from their hierarchical supervisor(s) within an amount of time that it takes to comply under normal circumstances.
  • All employee may be assigned to other duties in the hotel as and when required based on business demand.
Qualifications and Skills

·        Minimum 2 years’ experience as Sales position in standard hotel

·        University degree in related hotel management discipline or equivalent education.

·        Responsible self-starter, capable of handling multi-faceted projects and of working under pressure.

·        Team player, who values teamwork, has good team building skills and is able to communicate effectively with all levels of employees.

·        Personable and pleasant to deal with. Discreet, reliable, sensitive and diplomatic.

·        Guest-driven, friendly, fair and approachable.

·        Positive “can do” attitude and flexible approach – manages with humility.

·        High degree of integrity.

·        Strong Leadership Skills and a proactive problem solver.

·        Nurtures and develops employees, encouraging innovation.

·        Good health, physically fit. Excellent personal grooming & personal presentation.

·        Understands and respects local culture, able to adapt to changing environment.

·        Willing to work long and irregular hours, frequently unsocial hours and public holidays.

·        Proficiency in hospitality software including HMS, Opera, Siteminder, TravelClick, SalesPro, RFP Process, GDS systems and other program

·        Computer skill (word, excel, power point, Email)

·        Database management and record keeping.

·        Interpersonal and communication skill

·        Friendly, responsible, and honesty

·        Able to work flexible hour to meet the needs of the business

·        Able to handle company and employee data with confidentially

·        Good organizational and time management skills

·        Good Administration skills

·        Driver license

·        Exceptional Khmer & English writing and oral skills

·        Basic knowledge of Cambodian labor law 

·       Ensure Hotel, Customer and Staff information or transactions are kept confidential during or after employment with the company.
