Job Summary

To support the Sales team in all. leisure sales activities with a specific focus on selling to the hotel's leisure. market. Heavy emphasis will be placed on building a strategy and maintaining relationships within this market.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Maintains high visibility in the surrounding community and in the hospitality community as appropriate.
  • Assists in drawing up the marketing plan annually with the Sales Manager (Leisure Account)
  • Keeps a record on former, existing, potential clients and a profile of each of them.
  • Organizes regular visits in accordance to a predetermined plan.
  • Prepares a tentative monthly schedule to record all sales and other related activities for the preceding month.
  • Presents a summary of his/her visits to the Sales Manager (Leisure Account) on a weekly basis (Weekly Sales Plan) prior and after the week is completed.
  • Ensures that all new clients have no negative credit references.
  • Records all daily sales.
  • Records the statistics of his/her sales accounts.
  • Submits production reports on his/her list of accounts on a monthly basis.
  • Keeps himself/herself well informed about the operations especially in key departments (Front Office, Housekeeping, F&B, and Banqueting etc.).
  • Closely observes matters pertaining to competition (sites, prices, services offered on a regular basis - quarterly or more often if need be).
  • Promotes the hotel as often as possible through entertaining, conducting, site inspections and presentations etc. of the hotel.
  • Pays visits to former, existing and potential clients in view of entering into contracts with them, especially commercial accounts.
  • Determines and recommends prospective customers by analyzing historical and other statistical information, participation in conducting customer interviews, and preparing customer call analysis reports.
  • Defines precisely guest requirements and ensures that the guest services offered corresponds effectively to their requests.
  • Provides after-sales service and in particular to ensure all guests complaints are taken seriously and discussed with the respective departments if necessary.
  • Receives in the hotel any important guests whom he has approached.
  • Negotiates prices with the clients. 
  • Confirms verbal proposals in writing.
  • Ensures that all complaints are reviewed, investigated and follow-up action is initiated. 
  • Solicit group, individual, banquet and other function business directly and jointly with other through the preparation and executive of action plans.
  • Maintains a close working rapport with professional people, the press, media, employee, clients/guests and companies who are potential existing and current supporters of the hotel.
  • Participate in trade shows by setting up a booth and soliciting travel agencies.
  • Any other job/tasks are required by Sales Manager (Leisure Account)
  • Work overtime for special events which will be compensated within one month.
  • All employee are required to comply with every reasonable request from their hierarchical supervisor(s) within an amount of time that it takes to comply under normal circumstances.
  • All employee may be assigned to other duties in the hotel as and when required based on business demand.
Qualifications and Skills

·        Minimum 3 years’ experience as Sales position in standard hotel

·        University degree in related hotel management discipline or equivalent education.

·        Responsible self-starter, capable of handling multi-faceted projects and of working under pressure.

·        Team player, who values teamwork, has good team building skills and is able to communicate effectively with all levels of employees.

·        Personable and pleasant to deal with. Discreet, reliable, sensitive and diplomatic.

·        Guest-driven, friendly, fair and approachable.

·        Positive “can do” attitude and flexible approach – manages with humility.

·        High degree of integrity.

·        Strong Leadership Skills and a proactive problem solver.

·        Nurtures and develops employees, encouraging innovation.

·        Good health, physically fit. Excellent personal grooming & personal presentation.

·        Understands and respects local culture, able to adapt to changing environment.

·        Willing to work long and irregular hours, frequently unsocial hours and public holidays.

·        Proficiency in hospitality software including HMS, Opera, Siteminder, TravelClick, SalesPro, RFP Process, GDS systems and other program

·        Computer skill (word, excel, power point, Email)

·        Database management and record keeping.

·        Interpersonal and communication skill 

·        Friendly, responsible, and honesty

·        Able to work flexible hour to meet the needs of the business

·        Able to handle company and employee data with confidentially

·        Good organizational and time management skills

·        Good Administration skills

·        Driver license

·        Exceptional Khmer & English writing and oral skills

·        Basic knowledge of Cambodian labor law
