Job Summary

The Supervisor, Destination Operation supports and coordinates the execution of day-to-day tour operations in the assigned tour destinations and reports directly to the Manager, Destination Operation. This role ensures smooth implementation of operational plans, supports team performance, and helps maintain the quality and efficiency of tour services delivered to customers. S/he works hand in hand with various cross sections and teams in maximizing the destination management performance, tour cost effectiveness, improving decision-making, and ultimately driving the effectiveness and efficiency of the destination operation.

Working Hours: Mon-Fri (08:00-12:00 & 13:00-17:30) Sat (08:00-12:00)

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Executes the Destination management & plan for the assigned tour products and ensures that these are being effectively implemented through state-of-the-art administrative processes and procedures to meet the business and operational objectives.
  • Other scopes are inclusive of management of ground handlers, vendor contract management, customized quotations, development and operationalization of tour packages, and ensuring best-in-class customer services pre-, during, and post follow-up professional activities carried out by the members of staff. 

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Implement your product development plan and product enhancement timely manner
  • Manage & handle tour operations in the assigned Destinations
  • Handle MICE & TSP customized tour quotations and other special requirement tours
  • Monitor & track the tour operation process of all groups in the assigned destinations, ensuring a smooth pre-, during, and post-trip experience for customers
  • Work with all land/ suppliers to have a competitive cost advantage, favorable terms and conditions
  • Participate in a tour inspection for effective product development
  • Control tour cost-effectively and prepare a monthly tour cost calculation
  • Deal with problems in the tour operation
  • Conduct tour product training (Destination Op.., tour service, TL & Event & Marketing Team)
  • Develop and maintain good relationships with Suppliers
  • Prepare weekly tour quotations & monthly tour cost report
  • Perform other tasks assigned by the immediate supervisor
Qualifications and Skills

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, preferably in Tourism and Hospitality Management.
  • The equivalent of the same in practical experience is also acceptable.

Experience:

  • A minimum of 4 years of relevant working experience.

MS Office and Software:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Google Workspace, or project management tools, which will all be necessary for the effective performance of the creation of reports, proposals, and recommendations.

  • Effective in handling multiple projects and meeting tight deadlines, be result and detail oriented, be self-starter, be proactive, going beyond the call of duty, be a person of high integrity, be comfortable working in a highly collaborative setting, can learn and adapt quickly, has exceptionally good problem-solving, selling and negotiation skills, be an outspoken and comfortable in dealing with major clients.
  • Exceptionally good communication skills, portraying an ability to influence cross-functional teams and senior leadership teams as well as stakeholders in a unified direction and with a common vision.
  • Confident yet likable and relatable individual who can form strong and meaningful relationships with others, which will inspire trust and confidence.
