Responsibilities and Duties

1. Main Tasks

  • To support the JICA Advisor’s activities such as developing laws, strategies, policies, regulations, masterplan, action plan, and so on in telecom and ICT sector of Cambodia
  • To arrange meetings with counterparts at MPTC and facilitate smooth communication with them
  • To communicate and coordinate with officials from government agencies other than MPTC and local administrations
  • To prepare meeting minutes, when necessary
  • To translate documents (English - Khmer)
  • To interpret during official meetings (English - Khmer)
  • To arrange transportation
  • To assist in procuring goods and preparing financial reports
  • Other secretarial services.

2. Other Duties

  • In order to implement the tasks efficiently and effectively, the Administrative Assistant needs to report the progress, provide the necessary information and consult the procedures and any problems to the JICA Advisor in a timely manner.
  • The Administrative Assistant needs to submit monthly activity reports and documents requested by the JICA Advisor.
  • The Administrative Assistant shall treat all information about the JICA Advisor’s activities and stakeholders as confidential during and after the period of this contract. It is strictly forbidden from conveying any information about the above to third parties.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, Public Relation or related fields would be of an advantage
  • Professional experience working for international organizations would be a strong asset
  • Native tongue in Khmer and good command of written and spoken English
  • Good knowledge of computer (Ms. Office, Internet and Email)
  • Ability to work well in a team and independent
  • Ability to deal with people of cross-cultures
  • Strong listening, communication, presentation, interpretation, social skills and time management.
