The Manager, Designation Operation oversees all activities of Destination Management in the assigned Tour Zone; and reports directly to Lead Manager, Destination Operation. The Manager, Destination Operation leads end-to-end execution of Operation management and the business in advancing overall company goals and objectives. S/he partners with various departments and teams in maximizing the destination management performance, tour cost effectiveness, improving decision-making, and ultimately driving the effectiveness and efficiency of the destination operation. Manager, Destination Operation must have strong tour operational management skills and have a hands-on approach in delivering results.
- Organizes, Leads, and Motivates Tour Operation Team in the assigned tour zone
- Implement tour product development plan and tour product enhancement timely
- Manage & implement the tour operation
- Lead the team to handle all MICE & TSP customized tour quotations and other special requirement tours
- Work with all land/ suppliers to have a competitive cost advantages, favourable terms and condition
- Monitor & track the tour operation process of all groups in the assigned tour zone, ensuring a smooth perduring and post trip experiences for customers
- Manage & coordinate tour inspection
- Control tour cost-effectively and prepare monthly tour cost calculation
- Deal with problems in tour operation
- Conduct tour product training (Destination Op., tour service, TL & Event & Marketing Team)
- Develop and maintain good relationships with Suppliers
- Prepare & review weekly tour quotations & tour cost report
- Perform other tasks assigned by immediate supervisor
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, preferably in Tourism and Hospitality Management.
- The equivalent of the same in practical experience is also acceptable.
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant working experience, with 3 years in management roles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, Outlook, Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Google Workspace, or project management tools, which will all be necessary for the effective performance of the creation of reports, proposals, and recommendations.
- Effective in handling multiple projects and meeting tight deadlines, be result and detail oriented, be self-starter, be proactive, going beyond the call of duty, be a person of high integrity, be comfortable working in highly collaborative setting, can learn and adapt quickly, has exceptionally good problem-solving, selling and negotiation skills, be an outspoken and comfortable in dealing with major clients.
- Exceptionally good communication skill, portraying an ability to influence a cross-functional teams and senior leadership teams as well as stakeholders in a unified direction and with common vision.
- Confident yet likable and relatable individual who can form strong and meaningful relationships with others, which will inspire trust and confidence.
