Function Overview for OB (Owned Brands)

Drives in-country strategy & objectives by partnering with Cross-Functional teams and vendors. Coaches and manages team to ensure program goals and objectives are met. Responsible for managing vendors, program execution and information on product trends and business opportunities for assigned product categories and geographic markets.
Business Development
- Manages marketplace knowledge and product expertise to ensure team is conducting market research and competitor analysis for specific product categories
- Provides Director and product managers relevant information to ensure objectives are distributed to the best potential vendors/markets
- Maximizes cross-functional partnerships to ensure production meets objectives
- Participates in long-term and short-term sourcing strategies to support overall business growth
- Commits to Values and ethical business conduct; make ethics a mantra for and supply chain
Vendor/Supplier Relations
- Manages vendor matrix set-up/maintenance and appropriate action items based on new and changing business conditions
- Establishes and maximizes key vendor relationships to ensure development of business strategies to meet standards
- Ensures vendors are trained and coached on standard procedures, best methods, all vendor compliance requirements and vendor performance assessment
PSQA Primary Function
Manages quality throughout the owned brand model, utilizing continuous improvement as a pillar of the performance engine to deliver on guest experience.
Technical Knowledge
- Understand process management - able to determine the critical process to quality and its control plan to prevent or mitigate potential risks/issues in product quality and guest experience.
- Comprehensively assess factory’s quality management system; review and validate CAPA/PTP and the effectiveness and sustainability.
- Identify team's technical knowledge gap; facilitate and steer the learning and sharing of technical knowledge to fill in the gap.
Factory Performance Assessment & Oversight
- Lead team to analyze factory capability, quality and production performance to hold vendor accountable in supply chain performance elevation.
- Engage in factory matrix optimization and influence business decision through CFT collaboration based on quality performance.
- Ensure vendors deliver safe and quality owned brand product.
Manage Execution
- Business acumen consisting of quality, retail and manufacturing. Actively influence decision making and address business needs through active engagement with CFT/business partners.
- Advance analytics and reporting on TM, 3rd parties, vendors & factories performance with a feedback loop & Issue escalation to HQ 3rd party program manager.
- Master comprehensive problem solving and prevention tools to resolve and prevent technical and quality problems/issues and drive continual improvement with business partners in both short and long term.
Manage Team
- PSQA team management and oversight emphasizing measures, monitoring against KPI’s, in field activities and calibration; ensuring ethics and integrity.
- Develop talent through coaching and technical guidance to PSQA field teams.
- Own personal and team development through continuous learning and proactively seek new assignments that will help build knowledge and improve skills.
- Drive Change management throughout the organization.
Minimum requirements:
- Bachelor degree in engineering and/or technical disciplines equivalent and/or retail compliance, quality management, product or manufacturing industry equivalent
- Minimum 6-9 years’ experience in garment industry
- Minimum 4 years in supervisory/management capacity with similar operational scope and complexity
- Experience with a US based corporation
- In depth knowledge of US regulatory and safety requirements (QA)
- Excellent leadership/interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication skills in English and local language
- Strategic thinking and ability to plan, lead, organize and execute
- Result orientated, self-motivated, dedicated, enthusiastic and energetic
- Committed to continuous learning
- Ability to travel locally and/or internationally
- Ability to perceive and differentiate between colors
Desired requirements:
- Experience in retail purchasing operations
- Experience in leading a cross cultural team
- Certified Quality Manager, Engineer or Quality Auditor preferred.
- Lean or 6 Sigma certified preferred
- Experienced in project management preferred.
