We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated Senior Accountant to join our growing restaurant company in Cambodia. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day accounting operations, financial reporting, and providing accurate financial insights. The role reports directly to the Owner and plays a crucial part in supporting the company’s financial strategy.

Financial Reporting & Analysis: (Only FS preparation is acceptable)

• Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports.
• Analyze financial data and provide detailed reports with actionable insights to the Owner.
• Ensure the timely submission of financial reports, ensuring compliance with Cambodian accounting standards and regulations.

General Accounting:

• Oversee the general ledger, ensuring accurate recording of all financial transactions.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring that invoices and payments are processed accurately and on time.
• Monitor budget performance, track variances, and report any discrepancies to the Owner.

Cash Flow Management:

• Monitor and manage the company’s cash flow to ensure operational liquidity.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly cash flow forecasts.

Internal Controls & Compliance:

• Develop and implement effective internal controls to safeguard the company’s assets.
• Ensure compliance with local tax regulations, including VAT, income tax, and other statutory requirements.
• Coordinate with external auditors to ensure timely completion of the annual audit and tax filings.

Taxation & Audit Support:

• Ensure accurate and timely filing of taxes in accordance with Cambodian tax laws.
• Assist with VAT, income tax, and other tax-related matters, and liaise with tax authorities when necessary.
• Assist in provide supporting documentations for audit

Cost Management & Profitability:

• Monitor and control operating costs, especially food, beverage, and labor expenses, to ensure profitability.
• Provide detailed cost reports to the Owner, identifying areas for cost savings and improved financial performance.
• Work with management to identify strategies for increasing efficiency and profitability.

Team Leadership & Support:

• Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff, ensuring a high level of accuracy and efficiency.
• Provide guidance and support to team members to help develop their skills and improve overall performance.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth financial operations and alignment with business goals.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA, ACCA, or equivalent certification is preferred).
• Minimum of 4-6 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a senior accounting role, preferably in the restaurant or hospitality industry.
• In-depth knowledge of Cambodian accounting standards and tax regulations.
• Strong proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, or similar), with advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Experience in preparing financial reports, budgets, and forecasts.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to provide actionable financial insights.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
• Strong communication skills in both Khmer and English (written and spoken)
• Ability to interact effectively with senior management and other departments.
