- Develop new business opportunities with Forwarders/Customers in or outside Cambodia
- Responsible for new business enquiries, service proposal presentation, and RFQ/RFP bid participation.
- Identify the business potential and formulate the service solution to cope with customer’s requirements.
- Coordinate with the overseas counterparts for new project implementation i.e. SOP, bidding task, new service/route, E2E development with in-house Logistics
- Based on Trade Model Ship, work closely with marketing and sales colleagues to achieve the set sales target. In addition, monitor the weekly and monthly lifting performance and adjust the strategy if required to ensure targets will be met.
- Maintain a higher layer relationship with core customers with more importance and strategic value. Take timely involvement for customers who are more difficult to satisfy or disgruntled customers with service complaints.
- Set expectations on sales staff’s performance, monitor and review sales staff’s progress, provide guidance and motivate sales staff to achieve target in sales plan.
- Constantly review existing and future biz opportunities with reference to cargo/customer mix and take necessary courses of action to meet Trade’s direction on segment portfolio with yield maximized.
- Design and manage the sales staff’s developmental programs with proper training to raise skill level and sales productivity.
- Keep abreast of the development and outlook of economic, socio, political and competitive environment to estimate impact on short- and medium-term lifting prospects.
- Timely report to RGM and Trade of valuable and critical market info. Analyze market intelligence to propose strategic guidelines and policies.
- Achieve sales goals through hands-on market planning, personal and team sales execution and development of business relationship with key customers, new business and retention
- Make regular customer visits by personnel or join with team at least 12 sales calls per month and new calls must be made 10-20% of total 12 calls
- Maintain constant familiarization of product offerings and developments
- Research and maintain current information regarding competitive information about top customers and their requirements
- Specific solutions offered to customers
- Able to travel oversea
- Able to make attractive PowerPoint presentation
- Report to General Manager or regional office on sales plan development, weekly personal itinerary, sales plan execution, market competitive developments and target account list
- Coordinate and participate in joint sales calls with others including Manager, Supervisor and desk level employees if necessary
- At least bachelor’s degree (in particular, majoring in Sale, Marketing or any related ones).
- Minimum five years’ experience in the international 3PL companies. Having sales and marketing background is most preferrable.
- Good command of spoken and written English. Knowledge of Chinese language is a plus
- Knowledge of Sale, Marketing, Liner & related systems.
- Good communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills
- Strong leadership and having Ability to work and manage team members.
- Self-motivated, open mind, supportive attitude
- Fast learner and willing to learn new skills.
- Must be willing to travel up to 50 percent of the time
- Able to work in anytime, anywhere to fulfil customer’s requirements.
