The Deputy General Manager (DGM) of AG FOODS plays a critical role in driving strategic execution, operational excellence, and business growth. Reporting directly to the General Manager, the DGM will oversee day-to-day operations, coordinate cross-functional teams.
- Assist the General Manager in formulating and implementing the AG FOODS business strategy and annual operating plans.
- Lead and oversee daily operations including production, procurement, logistics, quality assurance, and business development.
- Drive continuous improvement in supply chain efficiency, cost control, and product innovation.
- Manage cross-functional teams, providing leadership, mentoring, and performance management.
- Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to align product offerings with market demands.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, environmental standards, and company policies.
- Support business development activities, identify new opportunities, and lead project execution.
- Prepare and present reports to executive management, highlighting progress, risks, and key performance indicators.
- Prepare and manage project budgets, ensuring financial stability and growth according to the project budget plan at each time.
- Analyze financial statements, identify trends, and develop strategies to increase profitability.
- Oversee pricing strategies, cost control, and financial planning to increase revenue and reduce expenses.
- Act as Acting GM when required, representing the business unit in internal and external engagements.
- Bachelor’s degree in Agribusiness, Business Administration, Food Science, Supply Chain, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- Minimum 5–7 years of experience in agribusiness, food production, or a related field, with at least 3 years in a senior leadership role.
- Knowledge of sustainable agricultural practices and food safety standards is desirable
- Strong understanding of agricultural production, distribution systems, and local/regional food markets.
- Proven leadership and people management skills.
- Strong business acumen with ability to translate strategy into execution.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management abilities.
- Operational mindset with problem-solving, data analysis, and process improvement capabilities.
