Job Summary

The Deputy Chief Executive Officer (Deputy CEO) will play a critical leadership role in overseeing and managing the operations of the Hospital’s existing branch and its new upcoming branch. This newly created position is designed to strengthen executive capacity, ensure seamless day-to-day operations, and drive the successful expansion of the hospital network.

The Deputy CEO will work closely with the CEO, senior leadership team, and medical directors to ensure consistent delivery of high-quality healthcare services, financial sustainability, and operational efficiency across multiple sites. This role requires a visionary leader with strong execution capability, experienced in both hospital management and business growth.

Responsibilities and Duties

Strategic Leadership

  • Support the CEO in defining and executing the hospital’s multi-site growth strategy.
  • Lead planning, setup, and operational launch of the new hospital branch.
  • Ensure alignment of service standards, patient care quality, and brand consistency across all branches.
  • Identify opportunities for service expansion, partnerships, and innovation in healthcare delivery

Multi-Branch Operational Management

  • Oversee day-to-day operations of the current hospital branch while preparing operational readiness for the new branch.
  • Establish standardized policies, processes, and systems across all branches.
  • Monitor branch performance through KPIs and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure full compliance with healthcare regulations, safety standards, and accreditation requirements.

Financial & Business Oversight

  • Partner with the Finance Manager to prepare budgets, forecast revenues, and optimize resource allocation across branches.
  • Develop sustainable financial models to support expansion and long-term profitability.
  • Drive cost efficiency without compromising patient safety and service quality.

Leadership & People Management

  • Lead and mentor senior management teams at both branches.
  • Develop and implement talent strategies to ensure sufficient staffing for the new hospital.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, collaboration, and patient-centered care.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Act as a key representative of the hospital with government agencies, regulators, healthcare partners, and the wider community.
  • Support the CEO in building strong relationships with the Board of Directors and other external stakeholders.
  • Support the CEO in Board reporting and high-level decision-making.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or related field (Medical/Clinical background is a plus).
  • Minimum 12–15 years of progressive leadership experience, with at least 5 years in a senior executive role in healthcare or hospital management.
  • Proven experience in multi-site management, hospital operations, or expansion projects.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare regulations, accreditation, and patient care standards.
  • Demonstrated success in leading organizational change and driving operational scalability.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
