We are seeking a dedicated, caring, and proactive Primary School Teaching Assistant to support teaching and learning in our international primary school. The successful candidate will work closely with the class teacher to enhance student learning, provide targeted support, and contribute to a positive and inclusive classroom environment. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about education, enjoys working with children, and thrives in a collaborative, multicultural setting.
Classroom Support
- Assist the class teacher in the preparation and delivery of lessons.
- Support students individually or in small groups to reinforce learning.
- Help create a safe, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment.
- Assist with classroom organisation, resources, and displays.
Student Support
- Provide additional support for students with diverse learning needs.
- Encourage positive behaviour and support the school’s behaviour management strategies.
- Promote student independence, confidence, and engagement.
Learning & Assessment
- Support the implementation of an integrated curriculum under the guidance of the teacher.
- Assist in observing and recording student progress.
- Provide feedback to the class teacher on student learning and behaviour.
Pastoral Care
- Support the social and emotional wellbeing of students.
- Supervise students during break times, excursions, and school activities.
- Ensure student safety and wellbeing at all times.
Collaboration & Communication
- Work collaboratively with teachers and other staff.
- Communicate effectively with students and staff in English.
- Participate in staff meetings and school events as required.
Qualifications & Experience
- Relevant qualification in education, childcare, or a related field (desirable)
- Previous experience working with primary-aged children (preferred)
- Prior experience in an international school setting (desirable)
Language Proficiency
- High level of proficiency in English (spoken and written) is essential.
- Ability to support teaching and communicate effectively in English at a professional level.
