Accountant Executive is responsible for daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, inventory accounting, expense recording, and assisting in month-end closing and financial reporting. The position ensures accurate recording of financial transactions in compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and pharmaceutical industry requirements, including inventory control, batch costing, and regulatory compliance.
Daily Accounting Operations
- Record daily accounting transactions in the accounting system.
- Prepare journal entries and maintain general ledger accounts.
- Perform bank reconciliations and account reconciliations.
- Maintain proper accounting documentation and filing.
- Handle petty cash and monitor daily expenses.
- Ensure proper filing and documentation.
- Assist in month-end and year-end closing.
Accounts (AP) and Accounts AR
- Verify and process vendor/supplier invoices and payments.
- Prepare payment schedules and monitor due dates.
- Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies.
- Maintain AP records and reconcile outstanding balances.
- Issue sales invoices to customers and distributors.
- Monitor customer payments and outstanding balances.
- Follow up overdue receivables.
- Reconcile customer accounts and prepare aging reports.
- Coordinate with sales department to collect payments.
Inventory and Cost Accounting (10%)
- Record inventory (finished goods).
- Monitor inventory movement and stock balances.
- Support stock count and inventory reconciliation.
- Record inventory adjustments, expiry, damages, and returns.
- Coordinate with warehouse and relevant departments.
Financial Reporting & Reconciliation (10%)
- Perform bank reconciliation and account reconciliation. - Assist in preparing monthly financial reports. - Support closing process (monthly/yearly).
- Prepare documents for audits and tax filing when required.
- Support external audit and internal audit.
Compliance & Documentation (5%)
- Ensure compliance with company policies and local accounting/tax regulations.
- Ensure invoices comply with tax regulations. - Prepare schedules and reconciliations:
- Inventory
- Prepaid expenses
- Accrued expenses
- Fixed assets
- Intercompany transactions
- Support administrative and accounting-related tasks as assigned.
- Coordinate with internal departments to ensure smooth financial processes.
- Other tasks assigned by management.
- Basic knowledge of accounting principles and financial processes
- Good attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
- Good Excel skills.
- Understanding of tax regulations and accounting standards.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 2–4 years of accounting experience.
- Experience in a pharmaceutical/manufacturing/distribution company is preferred.
