Responsibilities and Duties

Leadership & Team Management:
Supervise, mentor, and develop the IT support team, including scheduling and prioritizing workloads.
Manage external vendors and service providers for IT-related projects and support.
IT Infrastructure Management:
Design, implement, and maintain a reliable and secure company-wide network (LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi).
Administer and manage server infrastructure, including Windows Server, Active Directory, and file/print services.
Ensure the integrity and security of company data through robust backup, disaster recovery, and cybersecurity protocols.
Strategic Planning & Projects:
Evaluate and recommend new hardware and software solutions to meet business needs.
Lead IT projects from conception to completion, including the rollout of new systems and upgrades.
Develop and manage the IT budget, ensuring cost-effective purchasing and operations.
Technical Support & Security:
Oversee the provision of technical support to all staff, ensuring timely resolution of hardware and software issues.
Implement and enforce IT security policies, procedures, and best practices across the organization.
Manage and maintain critical site security systems, including CCTV, access control, and other surveillance technologies.
Systems Administration:
Manage enterprise applications relevant to construction, such as ERP or project management software.
Oversee cloud services, email systems, and telecommunications infrastructure.

Qualifications and Skills

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in an IT management or supervisory role.
Proven experience in a construction or related industry is a significant advantage.
Networking: Expert knowledge of networking concepts (TCP/IP, VLANs, VPN, Firewalls). Experience with Mikrotik or Ubiquiti is highly desirable.
Systems: Strong hands-on experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, and Microsoft 365 administration.
Security: In-depth understanding of cybersecurity principles, data backup, and disaster recovery solutions.
Hardware: Experience with server hardware, NAS/SAN storage, and CCTV/security system installation and management.
Software: Familiarity with construction software (e.g., ERP, AutoCAD Viewer, project management tools) is a plus.
Excellent leadership, team management, and interpersonal skills.
Strong project management abilities with a proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
Outstanding problem-solving and analytical skills.
Ability to communicate complex technical information clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
Highly organized with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
