About The Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade
The role of the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) is to advance the interests of Australia and Australians internationally. This involves strengthening Australia’s security, enhancing Australia’s prosperity, delivering an effective and high-quality overseas aid program and helping Australian travellers and Australians overseas. The department provides foreign, trade and development policy advice to the Australian Government. DFAT also works with other Australian government agencies to drive coordination of Australia’s pursuit of global, regional and bilateral interests. About the position Under the direction of the SOM, the Driver and Administrative Assistant will provide a safe, reliable and timely transport for staff and visitors within Phnom Penh and the surrounding areas. The Driver and Admin Assistant will also make deliveries and collections as well as perform routine administrative activities.
This position is available immediately, and after an initial three-month probationary period, the successful candidate may be offered a 24-month contract, with the possibility of renewal and ultimately permanent employment.
A competitive salary package is offered, including participation in a performance management and bonus scheme. The basic monthly salary range for the position starts at USD 674.
The Australian Embassy will establish a Selection Advisory Committee (SAC) to assess applications, conduct interviews, check referees, and prepare a report for the delegate recommending the most suitable candidate.
