We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Ocean Operation Team Lead to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and overseeing the ocean freight operations team, ensuring smooth coordination of import and export shipments, high service quality, and efficient team performance in line with company standards and customer expectations.

1. Team Leadership & Management:

• Supervise and guide the Ocean Operations team in daily import/export activities.
• Plan, assign, and monitor team workload to ensure timely completion of tasks.
• Provide training, coaching, and performance feedback to team members.
• Foster a positive, efficient, and customer-focused team environment

2. Shipment Coordination & Execution:

• Oversee all ocean freight shipments from booking to final delivery.
• Ensure proper coordination with carriers, co-loaders, customers, and overseas agents.
• Review and verify documentation (B/L, manifest, invoice, packing list, etc.) for accuracy.
• Manage issues such as space confirmation, cargo delay, demurrage, and detention.

 3. Customer Service & Communication:

• Act as escalation point for customer issues or operational challenges.
• Maintain strong communication with key clients and partners.
• Ensure high customer satisfaction by providing proactive updates and solutions.
• Support Sales and Customer Service teams with shipment and rate information 

4. Process Improvement & Compliance:

• Review and improve operational procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
• Ensure all operations comply with company SOPs, carrier requirements, and customs regulations.   
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPI) and prepare operational reports for management.

5. Cost & Performance Control: 

• Verify supplier invoices, carrier charges, and ensure cost accuracy.
• Work with the finance team for billing and cost control.
• Seek opportunities to improve profitability through process optimization and vendor negotiation.                                           

• Bachelor’s degree or related field of Logistics, Business.
• 1–2 years of experience in ocean freight operations, including team supervision.
• Strong knowledge of INCOTERMS, shipping documentation, and customs procedures.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and logistics management systems.
• Good command of English (spoken and written).
