Responsibilities and Duties
- Monitor vessel Estimated Time of Arrival (ETA)/ Estimated Time of Departure (ETD) and coordinate with shipping agents, pilots, and port services.
- Prepare daily berth plans and allocate berths according to vessel size, draft, cargo type, and terminal capacity.
- Update the berthing schedule in real-time and adjust for delays or operational changes.
- Maintain constant communication with ship captains, agents, terminal operators, pilots, tugboats, and port security.
- Maintain accurate records of vessel movements, berth occupancy, and marine services usage.
- Monitor safe mooring/unmooring procedures and respond to any marine-related emergencies.
- Optimize berth usage to minimize vessel waiting time and turnaround time.
- Coordinate with terminal operations teams to ensure readiness for vessel cargo operations.
- Other tasks assigned by management
Qualifications and Skills
- Strong in Chinese language
- English is an optional conversation
- Minimum 2 years in in port operations, terminal handling, or vessel coordination
- Experience with port terminal or shipping line operations is a strong advantage
- Computer skills: MS Word, Excel
