The Head of Tech will be responsible for driving innovation, ensuring scalability, and leading a team of talented professionals. You will play a critical role in shaping the future of our company by aligning technology initiatives with business goals.
Technology Strategy and Vision
- Develop and execute a comprehensive technology strategy that aligns with the company’s business objectives and growth plans.
- Identify emerging technologies and trends that could impact the business and drive innovation.
Leadership and Team Management
- Lead and mentor the technology team, including software developers, engineers, IT staff, and other technical professionals.
- Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the technology department.
- Oversee talent acquisition, development, and retention to build a high-performing team.
Product Development and Innovation
- Oversee the development of new products and features, ensuring they meet market demands and business goals.
- Drive innovation in product development by identifying opportunities for new technologies, tools, and methodologies.
- Collaborate with product management and other departments to ensure seamless integration of technology into products and services.
Budgeting and Resource Management
- Develop and manage the technology budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources to projects and initiatives.
- Evaluate and prioritize technology investments based on business impact and ROI.
- Ensure that technology projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet quality standards.
Governance, Risk, and Compliance
- Establish and enforce technology policies, standards, and procedures to ensure compliance with industry regulations and best practices.
- Identify and manage technology risks, including cybersecurity threats and data breaches.
- Work closely with legal and compliance teams to ensure that all technology operations adhere to relevant laws and regulations.
Stakeholder Communication and Collaboration
- Act as the primary point of contact for all technology-related matters, both internally and externally.
- Communicate technology strategies, initiatives, and progress to the executive team, board of directors, and other stakeholders.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as marketing, finance, and operations, to align technology initiatives with overall business objectives.
Continuous Improvement and Learning
- Promote a culture of continuous learning and professional development within the technology team.
- Stay updated on the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices to ensure the company remains competitive.
- Encourage experimentation and the adoption of new tools and methodologies to improve efficiency and innovation.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- A master’s degree or MBA is preferred.
Knowledge
- Extensive experience in technology leadership roles, with a deep understanding of software development, IT operations, and product management.
- Strong knowledge of cloud computing, cybersecurity, data management, and infrastructure management.
- Proficiency in software development methodologies, such as Agile, DevOps, and CI/CD.
- Familiarity with emerging technologies such as AI, machine learning, IoT, and blockchain.
Experience
- 5-7 years of experience in technology leadership roles, with a proven track record of driving technology innovation and transformation.
- Experience in leading large-scale technology projects from inception to delivery.
- Proven ability to build, lead, and manage high performing technology teams.
Skills
Communication skills:
- Effective written and verbal communication skills to collaborate with team members, and stakeholders.
- It includes the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non technical audiences.
Strong Leadership and Team Management Skill:
- Ability to guide, drive and encourage teams toward achieving common goals. It includes the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve excellence.
High Level of Attention to Detail:
- Strong attention to detail is crucial as a Head of Tech to deliver high quality, reliable, and scalable products.
Organization and Time Management:
- The ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple deadlines, and ensure timely completion of assignments and projects. It includes the ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Ethical Conduct:
- A commitment to maintaining the highest standards of integrity, confidentiality, and ethical conduct in handling information.
- It includes the ability in managing budgets and resources effectively
Excellent Problem-Solving Skill and Strategic Thinking Skill:
- The ability to identify, analyze and resolve issues or dependencies, as well as propose solutions for process improvements. It includes the ability to tackle complex challenges.

Certifications (Optional):
- Relevant certifications such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), or AWS Certified Solutions Architect.
