We're looking for a passionate and skilled Upper Primary and Lower Secondary Computer Science Teacher to inspire students in grades [e.g., P4-G8]. You'll develop and deliver engaging computer science lessons, foster a dynamic learning environment, and help students grasp core concepts like computational thinking, programming, and digital literacy, along with their real-world applications.

Instruction:

• Develop and teach comprehensive computer science curriculum, including coding, robotics, digital citizenship, and basic computing concepts. Plan and deliver interactive lessons using hands-on activities, projects, and technology. Create a positive, inclusive classroom where students feel encouraged to explore and think critically.

Assessment:

• Design and use various assessments (e.g., coding challenges, projects, quizzes) to track student progress. Provide timely, constructive feedback and maintain accurate records.

Student Support:

• Build positive relationships with students and manage the classroom effectively. Provide individualized support and collaborate with colleagues to meet student needs.

Professionalism:

• Participate in school and departmental meetings, continuous professional development, and contribute to the school community. Communicate effectively with parents.

Resource Management:

• Ensure proper use and maintenance of computer lab equipment and software, adhering to school policies. Oversee the selection and integration of appropriate educational technologies.

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Education with a specialization in Computer Science, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.

Certification:

• Teacher certification in teaching (e.g., TESOL or CELTA is helpful if teaching programming languages to non-native English speakers, but a specific Computer Science teaching certification is ideal).

Experience:

• At least 2 years of experience teaching computer science to primary or lower secondary students preferred.

Skills:

• Strong knowledge of computer science concepts relevant to primary and lower secondary levels, including block-based coding (e.g., Scratch), introductory text-based coding (e.g., Python), robotics, and digital literacy. Excellent teaching, classroom management, and organizational skills. Proficient in integrating technology. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Passion for inspiring young innovators.
