The role has been created to drive the South-East Asia supplier opportunities, support in-country factories & suppliers to deliver business needs in a timely manner and work cross-functionally with Technical and Responsible Sourcing colleagues on the ground to close any capability gaps in order to best serve the business and the customers.

• Sourcing new suppliers/factories that meet our technical & ethical standards in order to deliver our strategy to have a diverse and responsive supply base
• Working with Responsible Sourcing / Technical / Supply Chain / Shared Service to onboard, induct and upskill new suppliers and factories effectively and in a timely manner
• Working collaboratively with other hubs, to help realize the cost advantages of other regions
• Managing risks identified within the Critical Path and taking action to address these where needed
• Contribute to category strategies by delivering in country / category market intelligence to relevant stakeholders globally
• Executing supplier contingency plans in line with the category strategy, identifying and maintaining active dialogue with the new sources of supply for our high risk or sole suppliers in each sub-category and making sure it is agreed with the Buying teams
• Supporting commodity reporting by providing country specific market intelligence
• Working alongside costing colleagues to create internal costings to support our ‘Buy For Less’ activities
• Working alongside costing colleagues to ensure supplier costings are scrutinized and validated through the open costing process.
• Providing analysis and a supporting narrative to UK Commercial teams
• Working closely with China commercial team and acting as one team facing to the business

• BA or MBA Graduated
• Sourcing knowledge or merchandising knowledge
• Strong commercial sense
• Clothing background
• Fluent English (Mandarin a plus)
