Job Summary

The Head of Sales is responsible for developing and executing sales strategies to drive revenue growth, expand market share, and achieve business targets. This role leads the sales team, manages key client relationships, and ensures alignment with overall company goals.

Responsibilities and Duties

Sales Strategy & Planning:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies to achieve revenue targets.
  • Identify new business opportunities, markets, and potential clients.
  • Set sales targets, KPIs, and performance metrics for the team.

Team Leadership & Development:

  • Lead, motivate, and mentor the sales team to achieve high performance.
  • Recruit, train, and retain top sales talent.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide coaching.

Management and control over operational results (loan disbursement, loan collection, and loan resolution):

  • Promote the implementation of daily, monthly, and yearly work plans and ensure that each branch achieves the planned targets and directions, including active loans, overdue amounts, and write-off loans.
  • Monitor loan operations at each branch and intervene by implementing strategies and methods to assist branches to get high performance.
  • Collaborate with regional heads to evaluate the performance of each branch by comparing the actual results against the planned targets.

Revenue Growth & Business Development:

  • Drive sales initiatives for new and existing products or services
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and partners.
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and deals to maximize profitability.

Market Analysis & Reporting:

  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs.
  • Provide regular sales forecasts and performance reports to senior management.
  • Recommend adjustments to strategies based on market insights and results.

Collaboration:

  • Work closely with marketing, product, and operations teams to align sales efforts.
  • Support cross-functional initiatives to enhance customer satisfaction and retention.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, banking and finance, marketing or other related fields (master’s degree is preferred)
  • Minimum 7–10 years of sales experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven track record of leading and managing a sales team to achieve or exceed targets.
  • Strong network and understanding of the Cambodian SMEs and microfinance market.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills; fluent in Khmer and English.
  • Ability to motivate, coach, and develop sales staff.
  • Sound knowledge of microfinance products, credit assessments, and regulatory environment.
  • High integrity, customer-oriented mindset, and ability to work under pressure.
