Responsibilities and Duties
  • Be responsible for managing projects activities in Cambodia (under Company) to ensure an integrated approach to the achievement of the identified objectives.
  • Consult, provides technical advices to sales and customers during proposal stage and project implementation.
  • Support Sales for technical administration works when needed.
  • Collect and synthesize the project information from different resource; analyze and give the official information to the related parties.
  • Be responsible for contacting with customer whenever necessary to satisfy all customer’s requirements within the contract limit and company policy.
  • Conducts project planning; prepare and maintain project master schedule by monitoring project progress; coordinating activities; resolving problems.
  • Be responsible for solving all problems arising during projects by using the resources in the company within his authority.
  • Identifies and allocates resources for each project to ensure that projects activities move according to schedule and meets customer’s requirement.
  • Represents the company to coordinate the effects of all parties involved in the project, which include the architects, consultants, contractors, subcontractors and laborers
  • Associate costs to achieve completion of projects within time and budget allocated.
  • Monitors the progress of the erection activities on a regular basis and hold regular status meetings with all the sub-teams.
  • Inspects of erection sites periodically to make sure the projects run smoothly.
  • Investigates damages, accidents, or delays at erection site (if any), to ensure that proper procedures are being carried out.
  • Prepares project status reports on progress by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends; recommending actions.
  • Work closely to Finance department which any related works to clarified information of projects (i.e. Invoices, Payments, BOM, JAF, Contracts, etc.).
  • Any other tasks assigned by General Manager.
  • Has right to represent Steel in customer meetings.
  • Has right to request support and resources from involved departments in order to solve problems during project implementation.
  • Preserve the right for sub-contractor selections (subjected to approval by General manager). Ensure sub- contractors competent, qualified and in compliance with procedures, standards and policies. Prevent briberies, corruptions, personal interest interference at any kind from negatively involving in the process of awarding subcontractors.
  • Be entitled to determine the project budgeting in terms of erection (subjected to approval by General manager).

Objective

  • To take the lead and manage all projects and CMD of from the beginning stage through to completion, ensuring the desired result is achieved, the most efficient resources are used and the different interests involved are satisfied.

Working Environment

  • Time inside office: 50%
  • Time outside office: 50%

Working Relationship

  • Internal: All departments in the company
  • External: Customer: sub-contractors, suppliers…
Qualifications and Skills
  • Bachelor degree, Civil Engineering is preferable
  • Knowledge about Project Management
  • At least 10-year experience at same position in construction field.
  • Experience in pre-engineering steel buildings is an advantage.
  • Excellent communication skills and problem solving skill
  • Sound understanding and experience in the application of safety legislation and corporate safety procedures
  • Good understanding of commercial issues affecting project performance and experience in assessing
  • Ability to make decision and take necessary actions
  • Good analytical and synthetics skill
  • Excellent computer skills and MS Office Application (including MS Project)
  • Fluent in writing and speaking English.
  • Willing to work under high pressure, overtime & at weekends
  • Willing to travel/ site visiting
  • Monday to Saturday: 8:00am to 12:00am & 13:00pm to 17:30pm
  • Lunch time: 12:00am to 13:00pm.
