• Implement the Quality & Environmental Management System (QEMS) at site with a focus on architectural and finishing works.
• Ensure architectural works meet project-specific quality and environmental objectives and targets.
• Ensure compliance with architectural codes, regulatory requirements, and other applicable standards throughout the construction lifecycle.
• Review architectural scope of work and assess contractors’ Gantt chart to ensure architectural milestones are achievable.
• Evaluate and monitor contractors’ QA/QC plans, method statements, and materials specifications related to architectural finishes.
• Coordinate with architects and consultants to resolve discrepancies in architectural drawings and specifications.
• Follow up with contractors to rectify deviations in architectural works and finishes, ensuring corrective actions are in place.
• Recommend preventive measures and propose practical QA improvements to enhance quality control for architectural details.
• Identify and resolve any architectural drawing discrepancies proactively to avoid rework or work abortion.
• To liaise with Authorities for site check and inspection (i.e. MLMUPC, Municipal Authority)
• Participate in design value engineering with consultants to offer cost-effective and innovative architectural solutions. 
• Supervise and coordinate architectural works on site to ensure timely delivery within the approved quality, design, and cost.
• Conduct construction quality awareness training related to architectural finishes for contractors and sub-contractors.
• Support mock-up validations and inspection to ensure designs align with user and stakeholder expectations.
• Raise and track Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) for architectural works that do not meet design intent or specifications.
• Ensure site activities adhere to Quality, Environmental, Safety & Health Management System (QESHMS) procedures.
• Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, local codes of practice, architectural regulations, and project-specific standards.
• Monitor and manage worksite safety and health risks, especially related to architectural work zones and materials.
• Identify risks and opportunities in architectural works and implement control measures or recommend design adjustments as necessary.
• Escalate any disputes and critical non-compliance to the Architect.
• Support validation of as-built records of architectural and finishing related works.
• Conduct and participate in Pre-Delivery Inspections (PDI) focusing on architectural finishes, fittings, and compliance with specifications.
• Manage architectural defect rectification during the Defects Liability Period (DLP), ensuring prompt and quality resolution by contractors.

Qualification

Diploma or Degree in Architecture, Architectural Technology, or equivalent LAM (Board of Architects Malaysia) registration is an advantage Registered Inspector of Works (IOW) is an added advantage Registered with local professional board is an advantage

Experience 

Minimum 8 years working experience in related field Experience in high rise building and housing would be an added advantage.

Technical Skills 

Possess knowledge and/or familiar with Quality & Environmental Management System, Architectural detailing, finishes, materials and construction practices Knowledge in QESH Management, HIRARC, ESH legal & other requirements and EHS practices. Experience in mock-up inspections, material installation monitoring, and aesthetic detailing review.
