The Market Analyst is responsible for conducting in-depth research on macroeconomic trends, industry landscapes, companies, and potential investment opportunities to support strategic business decisions. This role involves analyzing key economic indicators, industry developments, and regulatory environments to identify investment trends and risks. The Analyst also supports due diligence on companies and individuals, prepares financial models for identified projects, and contributes to the development of marketing materials such as investment decks and corporate profiles. The insights provided will guide internal strategy and external engagements across diverse sectors.

Perform macroeconomic research to understand the broader economic environment and key trends that influence both local and regional markets.

• Country growth and regional growth 
• Country FDI inflow trends
• Understand the Country’s ease of doing business
• Understand geopolitical developments and trade relations
• Keep updated to macroeconomic indicators
• Follow agency reports like World Bank, IMF, ADB

Perform industry / sector analysis to find out which sectors/ industries/ areas are targeted by investors. Use the deliverables of the research to identify investment opportunity areas.

• Study industry outlook
• Study industry supply chain
• Study industry regulation (Government Incentives)
• Flesh out the finding, identify investment opportunity areas
• Summarize the finding into presentable format for internal and external engagement. 

Perform specific company research and individual research to allow management team to make inform decision making for external business engagements.

• Conduct company’s due diligence such as business registration, ownership, legal structure, related entities, and affiliations.
• Conduct background check on key individuals on their education, professional background, past affiliations with other companies and public reputation.
• Identify key synergies or potential partnerships. 

Conduct research and gather relevant information on the company’s identified projects, deals or strategic themes, including but not limited to infrastructure, waste management, plantation, and other assignments as required.

• Compile quantitative and qualitative information from credible databases, government reports, publications, or company disclosure.
• Identify market size and business model of the projects.
• Conduct financial forecast / model for the identified project and conclude with ROI, ROE, or Exit Yield.

Support production of marketing materials such as investment teasers, investment deck, and other presentations as required by the company.

• Bachelor’s degree or higher, preferably in real estate, finance, economics, business management, or other relevant fields.
• Previous experience in market research or consultancy is preferred.
• Be numerically proficient, analytically strong, and articulate.
• To have strong interest in real estate sector, manufacturing sector, tourism sector, and financial sector.
• Demonstrate strong proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and other relevant tools such as Google Earth.
• Self-motivated and driven individual with a passion for excellence
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to anticipate needs and proactively manage task
• Excellent command of the English language is mandatory. Business Chinese fluency is highly advantageous
