The Communications Event Coordinator plays a key supporting role within the CCO Office, assisting with communications, public relations, and event coordination. This role contributes to internal and external engagement efforts, supports the execution of events, and helps ensure timely and well-prepared communications. The role is well-suited for candidates with strong organizational skills, a keen eye for detail, and a willingness to learn across multiple communications functions.
1. Communications Support and Administration
• Conduct research and assist with briefing book preparation for meetings and events.
• Help draft talking points, basic statements, and simple Q&A briefs.
• Assist with creating presentations, agendas, and translation of communications content.
• Monitor Chinese-language media in Cambodia and translate relevant content into English.
• Help prepare and distribute press content, articles, and internal comms materials.
• Coordinate with teams to gather information for communication updates.
• Use digital tools (e.g., Canva, Google Suite, ChatGPT) to support content and reporting.
2. Event Planning and Support
• Assist in organizing internal and external events, such as launches and forums.
• Coordinate logistics including venue setup, catering, guest management, and protocol.
• Support basic budget tracking and post-event reporting.
3. Stakeholder and Local Media Coordination
• Liaise with internal teams and external stakeholders to support meeting arrangements.
• Maintain updated contact lists for Government, Embassies, and Chambers.
• Draft and localize Khmer letters with supervision to support stakeholder outreach.
• Provide support on cross-team inputs for campaigns or events linked to the CCO Office.
4. Reporting and Insights
• Track and summarize key media coverage and event outcomes.
• Support basic analysis of PR and event impact.
• Help compile internal reports with key takeaways.
5. Ad-Hoc Projects
• Assist with other assigned tasks related to communications and event functions.
1. Education & Certification:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, International Relations, or a related field.
• Additional certifications or short courses in writing, event planning, or media handling are an advantage.
2. Experience & Skills:
• At least 2 years of working experience, with minimum 1 year in a communications[1]related role.
• Strong writing, organization, and coordination skills.
• Ability to support senior-level events and communications work under supervision.
• Familiarity with basic event logistics, stakeholder engagement, and protocol.
• Comfortable using digital tools (e.g., Microsoft Office, Canva, Google Suite, ChatGPT).
• Good command of Khmer and English; Chinese proficiency is a plus.
