Maintenance Technician

• To ensure all warehouse machines, tools, forklifts, and basic electrical equipment are safe, reliable, and ready for daily operations by carrying out regular maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs, while minimizing equipment breakdown and downtime.

1. Machine & Equipment Maintenance

• Perform regular inspection and maintenance of warehouse machines and equipment.
• Maintain and repair:
• Baler machine
• Cutting machine
• Strapping tools
• Forklifts
• Weighing equipment
• Other warehouse tools and equipment
• Identify machine problems and repair them when possible.
• Report serious equipment problems to the Warehouse Manager/Supervisor.
• Coordinate with external technicians or service companies when specialized repair is required.

2. Electrical Maintenance

• Check and maintain basic warehouse electrical systems and equipment.
• Repair or replace basic electrical components when qualified to do so.
• Check electrical cables, switches, sockets, lights, and connections.
• Report unsafe electrical conditions immediately.
• Ensure electrical work is carried out safely.

3. Preventive Maintenance

• Prepare and follow a regular maintenance schedule for machines and equipment.
• Conduct daily/weekly/monthly inspections as required.
• Keep maintenance records for all machines and equipment.
• Monitor machine condition and identify problems before breakdowns occur.
• Maintain an inventory of common spare parts, tools, and maintenance materials.

4. Emergency Repair & Troubleshooting

• Respond quickly when a machine or equipment breaks down during warehouse operations.
• Troubleshoot problems and determine the cause of breakdowns.
• Complete urgent repairs, when possible, to minimize operational delays.
• Inform the Warehouse Manager/Supervisor about major breakdowns and expected repair time.

5. Safety & Housekeeping

• Follow all warehouse safety rules and maintenance procedures.
• Ensure machines are properly switched off and isolated before maintenance when required.
• Use appropriate PPE and maintenance tools.
• Keep the maintenance area, tools, and spare parts organized.
• Immediately report dangerous equipment or electrical conditions.
• Never operate or repair equipment beyond the technician's qualification or authorization.

Education:

• Technical certificate/diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Maintenance, or a related field.

Professional Experience:

• Minimum 1–2 years of experience as a Maintenance Technician or similar position.
• Experience in machine, equipment, or industrial maintenance.
• Experience with forklifts, baler machines, cutting machines, or strapping tools is an advantage.
• Experience in basic electrical and mechanical repair.
• Experience with preventive maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Experience working in a warehouse, factory, or industrial environment is preferred.

Technical Skills:

• Basic mechanical and electrical troubleshooting.
• Machine inspection, repair, and preventive maintenance.
• Maintenance of baler, cutting machine, strapping tools, and forklifts.
• Basic welding and fabrication skills are an advantage.
• Ability to use hand tools and maintenance equipment.
• Basic knowledge of electrical wiring, switches, motors, and sensors.
• Ability to identify machine faults and perform basic repairs.
• Ability to maintain maintenance records and schedules.

Language

• Khmer: Good communication skills.
• English: Basic English is an advantage, especially for reading machine manuals and maintenance instructions.
