The Architect Manager leads and manages the architectural design team, ensuring the successful delivery of projects from concept to completion. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and the ability to coordinate across disciplines to achieve high quality, compliant, and innovative design solutions.

Strategy & Planning

• Lead and manage the architectural design team (Architect Supervisors, Senior Architects, and Architect).
• Prepare project briefs, conceptual designs, and oversee construction drawings and documentation.
• Develop and implement design strategies aligned with organizational goals.
• Ensure projects meet environmental, safety, structural, zoning, and aesthetic standards.

Design & Technical Oversight 

• Manage design processes from concept to completion.
• Review architectural and engineering plans, specifications, and contract documents for compliance with codes and regulations.
• Provide technical expertise in developing policies, procedures, and safety codes
• Research and evaluate building materials, systems, and design standards.
• Present complex design concepts effectively to diverse audiences.

Project & Team Management

• Monitor schedules, budgets, and distribute design tasks to ensure timely delivery
• Conduct tender analysis and negotiate with contractors.
• Advise subcontractors on plan interpretation and recommend changes when necessary.
• Coordinate with civil, MEP, and other disciplines to ensure integrated project delivery.
• Participate in meetings with consultants and collaborate with stakeholders.

Education

• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Construction, Building Management, or Engineering. 

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of building methods, codes, and regulations
• Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D & 3D), MS Project, and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Understanding of design principles, construction techniques, and project management standards
• Familiarity with specifications, building codes, and safety regulations.

Experience

• 7–10 years of experience in architectural design, construction, or project management.
• Proven track record of managing complex building projects (housing, schools, and mixed use developments).
• Demonstrated ability to lead multi-disciplinary design teams.

Skills

• Ability to lead, mentor, and inspire architectural teams.
• Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines.
• Good command of English, both written and spoken, with strong communication and reporting abilities.
• Strong coordination skills with engineers, contractors, consultants, and stakeholders.
