Job Summary

As an architect, you will design new buildings or extensions or alterations to existing buildings. Building can have different typologies, according to company investments.
Working closely with the company stakeholders, you will make sure that projected designs match requirements and are functional, safe, and economical. You will usually control a project from start to finish and work with several professionals, including surveyors and engineers.

Responsibilities and Duties

Discuss the ideas, objectives, requirements, and budget of a project and in some cases help to select a site
Consult with other professionals about design
Assess the needs of the building and its users, advising on the practicality of the project
Prepare and present feasibility reports and design proposals
Review and coordinate all work at critical times during each phase including specification, CAD/REVIT/BIM models, project documents and design intent keep within financial budgets and deadlines
Control operations of Architectural projects, checking resources and proposing design schedule in line with project milestone whilst participate in design meetings as part of design coordination and to ensure deadline and milestone are respected
Negotiate with contractors and other professionals
Assist the master planner consultant to get the optimum and functional space and to be the owner assistant in giving the design guidelines
Establish design standards and procedures for integrated system of design, consultant coordination, contract, specifications, and construction document delivery
Ensure architecture and design practices and procedures meet standards established and expected by the Group
Provide design guidance, mentorship, and leadership at all stages of projects and maintain architectural design and production standards and procedures
Provide influencing ideas to enhance department productivity while direct and motivate all subordinates

Qualifications and Skills

Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or Engineering or a related field. Master’s degree is highly preferred.
Licensed Architect is a plus.
At least 5 years of experience on design management focus on high-rise projects
At least 5 years of experience at similar position in large scale environment
Experience in managing multiple projects
Broad project experience with a specialty in mixed-use commercial projects
Solid design experience; good understanding of clean international design style
In-depth experience in one or more of our key market segments in high rise Architecture and corporate/commercial
Excellent working knowledge of design documentation, building materials, construction techniques, building systems, etc. (we work hard to create inspirational architecture that adheres to our clients' budgets, schedules, and performance criteria)
Able to read drawings and specifications
Proven written and verbal communication abilities; proficiency with computer applications, including Microsoft Office
Familiarity with requirements of drawings and specifications and with terms and conditions of Project Contracts, Subcontracts, and Purchase Orders
Good communication and inter-personal skills
Good in problems-solving skill
Ability to cope with pressure and change
Process strong knowledge of construction
Strong leadership and mentoring skills (we want you to empower and foster a strong design sensibility in our junior staff)
Good command of spoken and written English
