Commercial Manager is to manage and develop RR as a recognized and innovative rail within the transport sector. This involves generating business on rail to support the group’s integrated logistics services, business development activities related to freight and/or passenger services

• Works with senior management to ensure that strategic and annual operating plans are in place to maximize profit in both the short term and long term
• Markets services to customers both existing and potential new customers
• Provides the senior management group with quality information to set goals, make decisions and monitor performance
• Provides effective and efficient management of the company’s customers
• Participates in risk assessments, as and when required, and assist the Senior Management in determining and developing relevant documentation for the Safety Management System. 

·        A minimum of 5 years’ experience in managerial positions

·        Strategic thinking and commercial acumen.

·        Strong sales acumen with a talent for prospecting and building lasting client relationships

·        Excellent negotiation and stakeholder engagement abilities.

·        Deep understanding of customer behavior and market segmentation.

Ability to work under pressure and deliver results in a highly regulated environment
