The Senior Procurement Officer (Non-Trade) is responsible for managing the sourcing and purchasing of all non-trade goods and services required to support the Company’s operations. The role ensures timely and cost-effective Procurement, evaluates and manages Suppliers, cost control, and works closely with internal teams to meet project and operational needs while ensuring full compliance with Procurement policies.
• Analyse indirect spend categories to identify sourcing opportunities, cost efficiencies, and value improvements that support operational and financial objectives.
• Collaborate with Business and Functional Units (BU/FU) to understand technical and operational requirements, ensuring timely Procurement aligned with project schedules and business needs.
• Source Suppliers locally or internationally based on product availability, urgency, total cost of ownership, and compliance with Procurement policy.
• Support Technical Service team by sourcing and procuring spare parts, tools, and other technical-related items, ensuring specifications and performance requirements are met.
• Evaluate and recommend Suppliers using structured assessment criteria, including cost, quality, delivery capability, service performance, risk, and compliance with company standards.
• Ensure full compliance with the company’s Procurement Policy when executing procurement activities.
• Review sourcing methods and recommend improvements to enhance transparency, efficiency, and value for money, ensuring alignment with approved Procurement strategy.
• Analyse Procurement expenditures to identify spending trends and cost-saving opportunities and provide data-driven recommendations to management.
• Perform cost analysis, risk assessment, and scenario evaluations to support informed Supplier selection and purchasing decisions.
• Monitor market trends, pricing changes, Supplier performance, and supply risks to support proactive sourcing decisions and strategic Procurement planning.
• Work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure sourcing initiatives align with operational requirements, budget controls, and approval processes.
• Support Supplier management activities, including performance monitoring, issue reporting, and contributing to Supplier improvement discussions when required.
• Maintain accurate Procurement records and documentation, ensuring audit readiness and adherence to corporate governance requirements.
• Bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in Procurement, Purchasing, Supply Chain, or sourcing (preferably in non-trade/indirect spend categories)
• Experience working with Procurement policies, sourcing procedures, and Supplier evaluation
• Knowledge of Procurement best practices, sourcing methods, and Supplier performance management
• Strong sourcing and negotiation skills
• Supplier evaluation and performance monitoring
• Cost analysis and basic risk assessment
• Understanding of Procurement processes and compliance
• Ability to read technical specifications
• Proficiency in MS Office
