Job Summary

A Photographer/Videographer & Editor is responsible for capturing high-quality images and video footage, as well as editing them to create compelling visual content. This role requires a creative eye, technical expertise, and proficiency in post-production software. The ideal candidate is a versatile professional who can handle multiple aspects of visual media production from shooting to final editing.

Responsibilities and Duties

1) Photography

  • Plan and execute photo shoots, ensuring all aspects from lighting to composition are effectively managed.
  • Capture high-quality images for various purposes, including marketing materials, events, and social media.
  • Edit and retouch photos to enhance their visual appeal using software like Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom.

2) Videography

  • Conceptualize, plan, and shoot video content for various projects, including commercials, promotional videos, and events.
  • Operate video cameras, drones, and other filming equipment to capture professional-quality footage.
  • Ensure proper lighting, sound, and camera settings for each shoot.

3) Pre-Production Planning

  • Collaborate with clients, directors, and production teams to understand project requirements and objectives.
  • Develop storyboards, shot lists, and production schedules.
  • Scout locations and prepare for shoots, including securing necessary permits and equipment.

4) Post-Production

  • Organize and manage digital assets, including backing up footage and maintaining an organized archive.
  • Perform color correction and grading to ensure visual consistency and quality.
  • Conduct quality control checks to ensure final products are free of errors and meet technical specifications.
  • Edit video footage to create engaging and polished final products using software like Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve.
  • Add graphics, special effects, sound effects, and music to enhance video content.
  • Ensure videos align with the brand’s style and messaging.

5) Equipment Management

  • Maintain and manage photography and videography equipment, ensuring everything is in working order.
  • Stay updated with the latest trends and technology in photography, videography, and editing.

6) Client and Team Collaboration

  • Work closely with clients to understand their vision and deliver content that meets their expectations.
  • Collaborate with other team members, including producers, content creators, designers, and marketing staff.
  • Provide creative input and suggestions to improve the overall quality of the projects.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Film, Photography, Media Production, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in photography, videography, and editing.
  • Proven portfolio showcasing a range of photography and videography projects.
  • Proficiency with photography and videography equipment, including DSLRs, video cameras, and lighting setups.
  • Advanced knowledge of editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, Adobe After Effects, and Photoshop.
  • Understanding of color correction, audio mixing, and visual effects.
  • Proficiency in digital photography and videography techniques.
  • Familiarity with various video formats, codecs, and compression techniques.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required.
  • Ability to travel for on-location shoots.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong creative vision and storytelling ability.
  • Physical ability to handle and set up photography and videography equipment.
