Job Summary

The Procurement Officer is responsible for sourcing and purchasing local goods, materials, and services in a cost-effective and timely manner while ensuring quality and compliance with company standards. This role plays a key part in maintaining efficient supply chains and supporting project and operational needs.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Source and negotiate with local suppliers for electrical equipment, office supplies, and other required materials or services.
  • Issue Request for Quotations (RFQs), analyze bids, and prepare purchase evaluations.
  • Create and process Purchase Orders (POs) in accordance with company policies.
  • Maintain strong relationships with existing suppliers and continually evaluate new vendors to ensure quality, competitive pricing, and timely delivery.
  • Monitor local market trends and update price comparisons regularly.
  • Coordinate closely with internal departments (especially Engineering, Finance, and Sales) to understand procurement needs and timelines.
  • Track and follow up on deliveries to ensure goods/services arrive on time and meet specifications.
  • Maintain procurement files, contracts, and records with proper documentation
  • Ensure compliance with internal procurement procedures and standards.
  • Assist in periodic inventory checks and stock-level monitoring.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 1–2 years of experience in procurement or purchasing, preferably in electrical equipment or industrial goods.
  • Good understanding of local market dynamics and supplier networks.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • High attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and basic procurement software.
  • Knowledge of procurement compliance and documentation.
  • Able to travel locally when required.
