Lotus Outreach Cambodia (LOCAM) is a local, non-governmental, non-profitable, non-political and non-religious organization, registered with the Ministry of Interior in January 2008. LOCAM is dedicated to ensuring the education, health and safety of at-risk women and children to help create a more just, peaceful, and equitable society where all people—regardless of nationality, ethnicity, religion, and gender— can lead rich and meaningful lives that are free of physical and structural violence.

LOCAM's CAmbodian Tertiary Education And Leadership, YouthS Training program— (CATALYST) is designed to offer assistance to ensure girls finish tertiary studies and/or training and further education programs that lead to certain employment and provide seminars and mentoring with emphasis on leadership, professional development and self-development, health, social as well as gender issues that will prepare these young women as potential agents of social change.

The CATALYST program visits girls at their high schools to provide timely employment and further education orientation for high school girls under GATE scholarships supported by Lotus Outreach at Siem Reap and Phnom Penh. Preparing them at this level will ensure they understand what subjects they should be studying to match their further education and training choices and so they know where and how to apply to universities and training institutes and where they can get at least partial scholarships to reduce their tuition costs and in some cases they can get full residential scholarship should they win such an award.

LOCAM is seeking a part-time CATALYST Project Intern based in Phnom Penh with travel to province occasionally. The intern will be offered the following benefits:

• Translate case studies/students' background stories/other documents from Khmer to English and vice versa
• Design a variety of visual materials, including posters, banners, flyers, brochures, and etc. for both print and digital platforms
• Add subtitles and captions to videos, ensuring accuracy and proper synchronization
• Edit and create short video clips from longer content for promotional purposes, social media, or other platforms
• Administer Lotus Outreach Cambodia Facebook Page
• Review students' daily journals and give feedback
• Facilitate & organize training events and other programs
• Look for scholarships, trainings and job opportunities to share with both high school and CATALYST scholars
• Work closely with team leaders at three residences
• Home visits and social audit with Project Officer sometimes
• Undertake other duties/tasks required by Project Officer

• Fluent in English language proficiency (writing, reading, speaking and listening skills)
• Knowledgeable in designing programs using tools such as Canva, OpenShot, Adobe Photoshop, etc.
• Computer literacy in Google Tools, Microsoft Office (Word/Excel/PowerPoint), Internet/Email,
