Job Summary
- Carry out of all field inspection and prepare inspection reports according to standard procedures and work instructions
- Ensure and take responsible to any operational tasks assigned from Area Manager or Operations Section Head or Operations Supervisors
Responsibilities and Duties
- Carry out field inspection according to work instruction and job allocation from Operations Section Head /Operations Supervisor.
- Review work instruction if not clear or equipment is not sufficient for conducting inspection, the inspectors shall clarify this matter with their superior prior to leaving for the sites.
- Check equipment and tools with good condition before and after using.
- Inspectors shall arrive at the sites at the time notified on work instructions.
- At arrival, the inspectors shall verify the readiness of products, quantity, condition, scope of work and facilities required etc. with client representative.
- Inspectors must check and fill Work Instruction and Safety Review Sheet before start inspection.
- If significant discrepancy is observed, the inspectors shall need to contact their superior.
- Inspectors shall prepare inspection report as per standard procedure requirements on completion of intervention. Report, all documents and sample (if any) shall be submitted to office/laboratory on the date of completion of work or not later than next day.
- Follow work instruction, standard operational procedure, SGS Code of Integrity and SGS safety policy.
- Perform gauging/ draft survey / sampling that comply to the industry standard and operating procedure for specific products.
- Perform test observation at any laboratory/ factory.
- Carry out on site testing such as moisture test as per instruction given.
- Apply Digital Innovation and Technology in working process as Company’s objective.
- Other responsibilities, as per assigned by Area Manager/ Operations section head/Operations supervisor.
Qualifications and Skills
- Associate degree certificate or higher
- Secondary school with 2 years experience in related field or 1 years.
- Primary school with 3 years experience in related field.
- Experienced in cargo inspection is preferred.
- Basic knowledge and adequate skills in their respective field.
- Training in related inspection field
- Excellent communication skills
- Problem-solving aptitude
- Decision making.
- Able to use MS Word, Excel and E- mail.
- Able to communicate, write and read in Chinese.
