What we do

In parallel, having seen the growth and potential of the tourism sector in Cambodia,

with the strong confidence in the social stability and the policy of the Royal Government under the talented leadership of

Samdech Akka Moha Sena Pedei Decho Hun Sen, we decided to go into the tourism sector by establishing the company of Sokha Hotel Co., Ltd in 1997.

In 2001, Sokha Hotel Co., Ltd invested in construction of a 5 star luxurious hotel with 402 rooms along the Sokha beach in Sinahouk Ville.

In 2002, we invested in constructing another 5 star luxurious hotel with 276 rooms in Siem Reap province, and in 2010,

another international standard hotel with 1,000 rooms was constructed on the Bokor Mountain.

Please be kindly noted that our Bokor mountain development project, besides focusing mainly on the tourism, it’s also a potential residential development project of ours.

In particular, Phnom Penh capital city, which is the heart of the Kingdom of Cambodia has also developed very fast and attracted more and more tourists year after year, making lots of need of services like room accommodation, F&B, and many others.

Based on this fact, we’ve invested in developing a 5 star luxurious hotel with 744 rooms, located right here in the headland area facing the Chaktomuk River, which’s named “Sokha Phnom Penh Hotel & Residence”. So, up to now, Sokha Hotel Co., Ltd has owned many hotels with 2,422 rooms in total.

In the meantime, on 30th April 2014, the company started construction of another 600 room hotel on a 23 hectare plot of land in Siem Reap, which’s planned to open by 2016.

Also, we’ve requested the Royal government to permit for a 5 tower condominium and commercial building development project in this Chroy Changvar area. As planned the tallest building of the said project is up to 54 storey's high. Now we’ve been studying its plan very actively.
