Tax Documentation Preparation
- Prepare and compile all required documents for monthly tax declarations (VAT, Withholding Tax, Salary Tax, Prepayment of Profit Tax, etc.)
- Ensure all supporting documents (invoices, contracts, payroll data, expense reports) are accurate and complete before submission to the tax agency
- Review accounting data to ensure proper tax treatment and classification
Coordination with Tax Agency
- Act as the main contact person between the company and the external tax agency
- Provide timely and accurate data to the tax agency for monthly and annual filings
- Review draft tax returns prepared by the tax agency before submission
Data Verification & Reconciliation
- Reconcile accounting records with tax reports (e.g., VAT reconciliation, payroll vs salary tax)
- Identify discrepancies and work with internal teams to resolve issues
- Ensure alignment between financial records and tax submissions
Compliance & Record Keeping
- Maintain organized and audit-ready tax documentation (hard copy and soft copy)
- Ensure compliance with local tax laws and internal policies
- Monitor deadlines to ensure timely submission by the tax agency
Tax Audit Support
- Prepare and provide required documents during tax audits or inspections
- Liaise with tax agency and tax authorities to respond to queries and notices
- Track and follow up on audit findings and resolutions
- Report to CFO
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Taxation
Experience:
- Minimum 2–4 years of experience in accounting or tax-related roles •
- Experience working with external tax agents or audit firms is highly preferred
- Familiarity with monthly tax declaration processes
Technical Skills:
- Good understanding of local tax regulations (VAT, WHT, Salary Tax, Profit Tax)
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and reconciliation
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (data checking, reconciliation, reporting)
- Experience with accounting software or ERP systems
Soft Skills:
- Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
- Good coordination and communication skills
- Ability to manage deadlines and work under pressure
- Problem-solving mindset with a proactive approach
- Language: • Good command of English (written and spoken)
- Khmer language required
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in trading, FMCG, or distribution companies
- Prior exposure to tax audits or dealing with tax authorities
- Basic knowledge of Cambodia tax system (GDT procedures)
