The Core Banking Officer helps support and maintain the core banking system. The role includes doing basic system configuration, checking system processes, preparing reports, and supporting branches to ensure the system runs smoothly every day.

• Assist with core banking system setup, configuration, updates, and issue fixing.
• Support database-related tasks such as data checking, extraction, and simple data updates under supervision.
• Help prepare daily, monthly, and yearly system processes (EOD, EOM, EOY) and ensure they run correctly.
• Provide support to users at head office and branches when they face system issues.
• Prepare and extract required reports for internal teams and regulators.
• Help create simple training documents and provide basic guidance to users.
• Follow up with vendors and internal teams for system improvements or bug fixes.
• Perform other tasks assigned by the line manager.

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field (at least 3rd-year student).
• Basic understanding of core banking systems or business processes is an advantage.
• Willingness to learn system flow, reporting, and database work.
• Basic knowledge of SQL or programming (Java, JSON) is a plus.
• Good problem-solving skills and ability to work as part of a team.
• Good communication skills.
• Experience in banking or MFI is an advantage but not required.
