Job Summary

The Senior NOC Technician will be responsible for overseeing the operation and maintenance of our company’s network infrastructure. This role involves proactive monitoring, advanced troubleshooting, mentorship of junior technicians, and ensuring the overall stability and performance of the network.

Responsibilities and Duties

Monitor and maintain the health and performance of the network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and related network devices.
Lead and mentor a team of NOC Technicians, providing guidance on complex technical issues and projects.
Respond to escalated incidents and outages, ensuring timely resolution and minimal impact to operations.
Develop and implement proactive monitoring solutions to prevent network issues and improve overall reliability.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement network changes, upgrades, and optimizations.
Conduct root cause analysis for major incidents and implement corrective actions.
Maintain accurate documentation of network configurations, processes, and procedures.
Participate in an on-call rotation and provide after-hours support as needed.

Qualifications and Skills

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
At least 5+ years of experience working in a Network Operations Center or similar environment.
In-depth knowledge of networking protocols and technologies (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, MPLS, VLANs, etc.).
Strong experience with network monitoring and management tools (e.g., Cacti, Zabbix, NFsen, Elastic-Flow, etc...).
Demonstrated experience in troubleshooting complex network issues and implementing solutions.
Excellent leadership and mentoring skills, with the ability to guide and develop junior team members.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
