Job Summary
  • The Sale/Events &Catering Manager bring in, processes and achieve revenue goals with a appropriate areas in Sale/Events Catering by actively selling and up-selling each business opportunity, the Sale/Events & Catering Manager gathers banquet/events & catering information and hand off events coordination to be implemented. This position must be understand the market economic   delivering service excellent throughout each experience, Maintain thought  knowledge of banquet/events & catering business, product and service as well as awareness of rules and responsibilities throughout organization and is responsible driving sales initiatives of other service, in addition to maintaining our vision by adhering to our values, this position must provide the highest level  of service to our guests in all sales related functions while maximize rate and occupancy. 


Responsibilities and Duties
  • Report to : Assistant Director Banquet/Events & Catering
  • Responsible for: Sale/Events & Catering Coordinator/Sale/Events Coordinator.
  • Responsible for Selling of : SMR Grand Ballroom, 6 Meeting Rooms, 1 Multi Purpose Room, Event Space, Bloom & Pool, Cinema Corp Lounge, Pentho use Level 23, and Outside Catering Business. and other F&B product.
  • Responsible of the SMR business : Banquet/Events & Catering with the mark of MICE revue centralization. 
  • Preparing of Banquet/Events & Catering brochure.
  • Be able with full knowledge to do the product presentation to the guests.
  • Planning and set the goal of KPI to subordinate of sales segmentation in order to achievement of the MICE revenue.
  • Be able to attend of all event outsider  ( ASEAN Exhibition, Ministry of Tourism, ATF ) and other events.
  • Book group events within the group booking parameters, ensuring that sale progress seamlessly and accurately by following established process and procedures.
  • Upsell products and services, closing the best opportunities for the property based on market conditions and property needs.  
  • Gathering and input all important customer data in to plan appropriately ( e.g. Customer’s goals, specific needs, key account info, etc. )
  • Close sales by collecting client deposit and signed contract.  
  • Provide accurate, complete and effective turnover to Banquet/Events & Catering coordination and Food & Beverage teams.
  • Manage the events coordinator to ensure events progress seamlessly by following established procedures, collaborating with others employees, and ensuring accuracy.
  • Confirmed final billing accuracy prior to and then process the final bill.
  • Handle events planning aspects prior to the business turning over for business booked in advance.
  • Gain and maintain and understanding of the overall market ( e.g., competitors’ s strength and weakness, economic trends, supply and demand etc. ) and sell against them.
  • Identity operational challenges associated with the group and determine how to best work with the property staff and customer to solve these challenges and/or develop alternative solutions represent sales/events & catering department at staff and stand up meetings and report on sales activity.
  • Work to develop new or existing policies and procedures as determined by need in order to enhance the productivity of the banquet/events & catering sale process.
  • Ensure site inspections/visit;, verify that the business is turned over properly and in a timely fashion for quality service delivery.
  • adhere to all standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Support to Sale/Events & Catering Coordinator/ Sale/Events Coordinator, stepping in to assist in duties as appropriate.
  • Attend and participate in staff meetings as required.
  • Perform other duties, responsibilities, and special projects as assigned.
  • Focusing on the local business, Government, Embassies, NGOs, Cooperate companies,
  • Relationship on the private business such as private party, birthday, wedding ceremony. etc.
  • To make the daily, weekly, monthly revenue report.
  • To conduct of the monthly sales meeting with g=highlighted of guest feedback ( Good & Bad )
  • To brief of the daily briefing with the operation team in order to run the events operation smoothly.

Qualifications and Skills
  • 3-5 years of experience in Banquet/Events & Catering and related Food & Beverage Service industry.
  • A minimum of 1 year secretarial in food & beverage
  • Ability to communicate in English with the guests.
  • Computer literate. 
  • Good command in written and spoken English.
  • A high School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Computer skill (word, excel, power point, Email)
  • MICROS System.
  • Good Skills of Food and Beverage Service.  
  • Administrative of event report. 
  • Experience telephone sales with proven sales negotiation and closing skills.
  • Speak with others using clear and professional language.
  • Able to work under pressure.
  • prepare and review written documents accurately and completely.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to handle multiple guests and operational demands with a high degree of professionalism. operation with time sensitive deadline.
  • Good internal & external relationship.
  • Proficient computer skills and knowledge.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including night, weekend, and holidays.

  • Use safe manual handling techniques and practice safe work habits following Health, Safety and Environment policies, maintain procedures to minimize our impact on the environment and prevent pollution.
